1. A dialogue  between Rodela and Sayma about the way of removing illiteracy from the society.

Rodela  : Hi! Sayma ! how are you?

Sayma   : Fine, thanks. And  you?

Rodela  : I am fine too. Would you tell me the bad sides of illiteracy?

Sayma   : Yes, of course. It is root cause of ignorance which frustrates all          

                 development efforts of the government and the community. No  

                 development efforts can succeed unless illiteracy is eradicated.

Rodela  : Can we get rid of the problem?

Sayma   : Sure. People should be made aware of its bad sides. Primary education

                 should be made compulsory and more Learning Centers should be  

                 established for teaching adults and out of school youths.

Rodela  : You are right absolutely.

Sayma   : Thank you.

Rodela  : Welcome.

OR

A dialogue about the problem of illiteracy.
Mamun: How are you Fahad?
Fahad: Fine. Thank you. And how about you?
Mamun: I'm also fine. Fahad, most of the people of our country do not know how to read or write. I am very much worried about the rate of illiteracy in our country.
Fahad: Yes, Illiteracy is a curse in our country.
Mamun: Illiteracy hampers all our development programmes.
Fahad: Certainly.
Mamun:How can we eradicate illiteracy?
Fahad: It a gigantic task. We should set up adult literacy centres at every villages.
Mamun: At present primary education is being given free.
Fahad: Primary education has been made compulsory.
Mamun: Yes.
Fahad:The government also supplies books to the students up class IX free of cost.
Mamun: These programmes will help a lot to eradicate illiteracy.
Fahad: Do all the children go to school?
Mamun: No, they don't.
Fahad: I think, we all have a duty in this regard.
Mamun: Of course.
Fahad: We should encourage the poor parents to send their children to school.
Mamun: We have no enough schools in our country. So we should set up more schools in the country.
Fahad: The government alone will not be able to eradicate illiteracy.
Mamun: Of course. All the educated people should come forward in this regard.
Fahad: The students can help to eradicate illiteracy. They can teach the illiterate people during their vacation.
Mamun: Okay, Thanks a lot.
Fahad: You are most welcome. It was a nice speaking to you.

2. A dialogue between a doctor and a patient.

Patient :Hello doctor! Can you spare me a few minutes?

Doctor : Certainly! Come in and sit down. Now, what is the matter with you?

Patient : That is just what I want you to tell me.

Doctor : Well, tell me how you are suffering?

Patient : I seem to be generally out of sorts. I have no appetite for my food, and yet I am always suffering from indigestion.

Doctor : Are you troubled with headaches?

Patient : Yes, I am. And what is worse I cannot sleep at night.

Doctor : I see, What is your work?

Patient : I am a clerk in an office, and have to work long hours.

Doctor : What sort of exercise do you take in the evening?

Patient : I am afraid I don't take any. I feel so tired when I get home that I simply want to sit down, or go to bed.

Doctor : I see. Well, you are evidently run down, and need a rest and change. All your troubles are signs of nervous exhaustion. I will give you a nerve tonic but the main thing is rest. If you do as I say, you will soon be all right.

Patient : Thank you, doctor. I will follow your advice, Good sight!

Doctor : Good night! And let me know how you get on.

OR

Patient :So, Now what can I do doctor??

Doctor :You have to eat healthy food and don't eat so much junk food.

Patient :Ok doctor.

Doctor :Don't worry all will be fine.

Patient :Thank you doctor. Can I go now.

Doctor :Yes you may and don't worry when you have problem come to meet.

Patient :Thank you so much doctor.

Doctor :It's my pleasure.

3. A dialogue between two friends about early rising

Friend :Hi friend, How are you?
Myself :I am fine and you?
Friend :I am also fine.
Myself :Why are you here so early?
Friend :I always get up early in the morning.
Myself :But why?
Friend :I know that early rising is good for health.
Myself :What do you mean?
Friend :I mean it is a good habit.
Myself :What is the benefit of early rising?
Friend :There is much benefit of it.
Myself :Do you explain?
Friend :Why not?
Myself : Please.
Friend :An early riser gets enough time. He can say his morning prayer. He can enjoy morning air, can take some physical exercise.
Myself :Anything more?
Friend :He can enjoy the chirping of birds, can have a walk on the grass.
Myself :But can he enjoy the morning sweet bed?
Friend :Do you think it very essential?
Myself :Yes, I like to enjoy morning bed very much.
Friend :But do you know that early rising is more important than morning bed?
Myself : Actually I don’t know. Please tell me some.
Friend :There is a proverb, “Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise.”
Myself : It is really true.
Friend :Thank you.

A Dialogue Between Two Friends on Benefits of Early Rising.

Sujon: Hello Jamiya! How are you?

Jamiya: I am fine and what about you?

Sujon: I am fine too. But why are you always late for the class? If you are so late every day, you will be in great difficulty.  

 Jamiya: You are right. Indeed, I always try to come on time, but I simply can't.

Sujon: Why can't you? What time do you get up in the morning?  

Jamiya: I usually get up from bed at around 9 o'clock. I watch TV and sleep late.

Sujon: I see. You should rise early and get the benefits of early rising. Don't you know the proverb: "Early to bed and early to rise make a man healthy, wealth, and wise?

Jamiya: What is the benefits of early rising?

Sujon: As the proverb says, it makes you healthy, wealthy, and wise.

Jamiya: But how will it help me to become punctual in class?

Sujon: If you get up early in the morning, you will get much time to learn your lessons, have breakfast, complete your homework, have bath and meal and then start for college and reach ahead of time.

Jamiya: Yes, you are right. I can understand that by getting up early in the morning, I can make the best use of my time.

Sujon: Exactly! If you get up early in the morning, your mind and body will remain fresh. Besides, an early riser can work more and earn more to add to his income.

Jamiya: You are right. I was in the dark. However, I will start getting up early in the morning from tomorrow.

Sujon: It is certainly a wise decision. I will call you tomorrow in the morning at your house and take you for a walk with me by the riverside. Thank you.  

Jamiya: You are most welcome. I really appreciate your suggestion.

4.Dialogue between Two friends about the Uses and abuses of mobile phone.

Emran : Hi Milon, How are you?
Milon :  Fine and you?
Emran : Well because I have bought a mobile phone.
Milon :  Great. Nowadays we can't pass a single day without it.
Emran : Right, it has made global communication faster. Apart from talking, we can pay bills, use internet and send messages.
Milon :  Recently introduced android and windows phone work like computers.
Emran : Yes. By using it, we can send e-mail and make video call. It has made our life easy and comfortable.
Milon :  But it has some demerits also. Students waste their valuable time by using it and some become addicted.
Emran : Excessive use can cause various diseases such as brain cancer, hearing problem and so on.
Milon :  Actually excess of anything is bad. We should use it with care and caution to avoid its dark sides.
Emran : Thank you for your information.
Milon :  You are most welcome.

Dialogue: Between two friends about merits  and demerits of mobile phone.

Rafiq: Hello Shafiq, how are you?

Shafiq: I am fine and you?

Rafiq: I am also fine. Do you know I have bought a new mobile phone yesterday? Here it is.

Shafiq: Nice, very nice. What do you think about mobile phone?

Rafiq: Mobile phone is a very essential device. It has made our communication easy. It adds speed in our life. We can take photo; video and we can enjoy music from a mobile.

Shafiq: Yes you are right. But there are some demerits of mobile.

Rafiq: What are you talking about?

Shafiq: Now a day mobile has become an easy way of teasing girl. Some people commit crime using

mobile.

Rafiq: Not these are only. Much use of mobile is harmful for health. It harms our hearing power.

Shafiq: Really! I didn’t know it before.

Rafiq: Even some students cannot concentrate in study because they talk over mobile the whole night.

Shafiq: This point is also correct. Because the operators provide facilities at night.

Rafiq: But it is not the fault of mobile. It is our fault.

Shafiq: Of course. We should make the proper use of mobile.

Rafiq: I have to go now. It’s time for my private tutor.

Shafiq: Ok. See you later. Bye.

Rafiq: Bye.

5.Dialogue between two friends about the uses and abuses of Facebook.

Lubna : Hi Runa, How are you?
Runa : Fine and you?
Lubna : Well. What are you doing?
Runa : I am using Facebook.

Lubna : What is the main purpose of using Facebook?
Runa : It is one of the best medium for communication. It allows user to communicate with friends and make new friend around the world.

Lubna : Why do you use Facebook?
Runa : Because it gives me the opportunity to share my ideas, feelings, activities, interests with people. I can know about the culture, values, custom and tradition of other countries.
Lubna : Is there any other benefit?

Runa : By creating a group, students can use facebook for group study where they can share any information about projects, homework, assignments, exams etc.
Lubna : Is it free?
Runa : It is free but you have to pay for Internet service.
Lubna : Is there any disadvantage of using facebook?

Runa : Every social network has uses and abuses. Some disadvantages of facebook are it makes eyesight weak, wastage of time, poor result, cyber crime etc.
Lubna : Thanks for your information.
Runa : You are most welcome.
